Many of my clients for permanent cosmetic is doing permanent cosmetic for the first time. One of the questions I get asked all the time is "What is the experience of getting your eyebrows tattooed like?"
One of my newbie clients agreed to share her story. Read on:
I must confess, I was a bit scared of permanent cosmetics ... because it is permanent. After doing tons of research, I came across Suzette and was very impressed with her background in art and makeup artistry. After going on Instagram and seeing her work, I decided to call and schedule an appointment to get my eyebrows done. She was very patient and worked with me to make sure I liked the shape. Since this is the first time I have ever gotten a tattoo, I was very nervous but she was very thorough and walked me through the entire process. I am a nilly when it comes to pain, and it was very manageable. After a few minutes, I didn't feel anything at all. After Suzette finished the eyebrows, she was very good about going over the after care, which was simply to avoid water in the area for a few days due to my skin type and put on an ointment at night to keep the skin moist. Everyone is a bit different and she is really good about diagnosing your skin type and coming up with a customized care plan.

The first day, about 10 hours from when I had the eyebrow tattoo, my eyebrows looked a bit dark, the way I would normally draw it when I go out at night. This is normal and to be expected. I was able to go out immediately and had no downtime.

Over the next several days, the tattooed area started to scab, which is normal, but I was able to do all of my normal activities and no one at work even noticed. It was nice to not have to spend extra time in the morning to do my eyebrows and I was able to roll out of bed and just add a little lipstick and powder and head out the door.

Depending on your skin type, Suzette explained the color may darken or lighten, so she likes to start with a lighter color and then darken if necessary, which was perfect because I was looking for a more natural look. . For me, the color lightened and after 10 days, my eyebrows looked very natural and fuller.
